Goodbye summer, hello autumn!
Whew! That blistering heat is (almost) over. Fall is a fabulous time to visit Thinkery with your early learner—the summer crowds have subsided, and we’re gearing up for hands-on, seasonal STEAM programs and activities. Will you join us for some fall fun? Let’s take a look at our fall Baby Bloomers programming!
Toddlers take over the museum during Baby Bloomers! This specially designed program gives early learners ages 0–3 (and their families, of course!) an opportunity to experience the museum in an environment focused solely on them. We love to learn and love to play, so why not do both? With special monthly themes and special guests, Baby Bloomers engages our youngest visitors in a hands-on environment—all while having a blast!
Fall is finally here and we can’t WAIT to celebrate. That’s why Baby Bloomers is kicking off our fall favorites in October with Fall on the Farm! What makes you excited about this cozy season? Is it a fall feast in Let’s Grow with a special harvest of vegetables? Maybe a spooky pumpkin you can illustrate at Paint Wall? Let’s fall into the season!
This month, we’re diving into the world of geometry! Early exposure to simple geometric shapes can greatly benefit the way children understand the world around them. So, let’s shape up! What are the shapes of objects found in Innovators’ Workshop? Can they be used to make simple machines like a pulley or a system of gears? Explore shape-inspired yoga in Move! Studio to become a square or a circle or create contours in Light Lab with shadows and colorful lights. Whatever the shape we’re in, November is sure to be full of fun!
Join us as we gear up for winter! It may not snow much in Texas, but we can still create our own snowflakes. Make a fort in Move! Studio or cozy up Story Nook and read winter-themed books. We’ll practice sock “skating” and investigate winter wonders all month long.
There’s no doubt about it—we’re ready for a fun, festive and family-friendly fall. Come celebrate with us in Baby Bloomers!
