Halloween is almost here! Celebrate the spirit of the season in Whisks and Wizards! We’re exploring the culinary world of witches and wizards and mixing up tasty treats. Expecto delicious!

Monday, October 31
Happy Halloween!, 9 am–12 pm, ages 0–3
Come dressed in your costume as we celebrate the spookiest day of the year! In this festive Baby Bloomers program, we’ll make franken-worms come to life, paint creepy-crawly recycled spiders and build a pumpkin tower.

Tuesday, November 1
Google Field Trip Days
Google Field Trip Days are back! In November, more than 3,500 Austin-area students will visit Thinkery completely free of charge. Thanks to generous funding from Google for Education, participating schools will receive a free 90-minute guided tour and stipends for bus transportation and student lunches. We’ll see a large number of tours during this period (November 1–18), so keep that in mind when planning your Thinkery visit.

Google Field Trip Days: November 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17 and 18.

No Tours: October 31, November 7 and November 14.

Please note, we will be skipping No Tour Tuesday on November 8. The next No Tour Tuesday is December 6.

Art Start: Nature as Our Canvas, 9:45 am, ages 12–24 months

Little Thinkers Club
jump starts your toddler’s learning by introducing them to hands-on, age-appropriate STEAM concepts. In Nature as Our Canvas, we’re bringing the outdoors in and investigating using our senses.

Stop to smell the roses… and leaves… and dirt in Art Start: Nature as Our Canvas.

Community Night, 4–8 pm, all ages
Every Wednesday, Thinkery stays open late so families can enjoy extended museum hours, exhibits and educational activities. In addition to extended hours from 4–8 pm, admission during Community Night is by donation—meaning families are able to pay what they can. The suggested donation is just $1!

Ever wonder what makes planes, trains, cars and bikes move? Find out in Tinkering Tots: Make It Move! Children ages 2–4 explore simple machines and discover how things move in this hands-on, fun-filled program.

Up, up and away we go! Join us in November for sky-high adventures as we explore all things that take flight.

Things are looking up for Away We Go, our brand-new Baby Bloomers series.

Owl Pellet Investigation, 11:15 am or 1:15 pm or 3:15 pm, ages 4+
New month, new Think Labs! In Owl Pellet Investigation, explore our feathered friends and their diets in a hands-on investigation of owl pellets. It’ll be a hoot!
