This week is National Volunteer Week, a celebration about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. It’s about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of National Volunteer Week, demonstrating the enduring importance of recognizing our country’s volunteers for their vital contributions.
In honor of National Volunteer Week we want to take a moment to say thank you to ALL of our volunteers. From individuals to groups to our Museum Career Ladder volunteers and our interns, all of our volunteers are a critical part of the Thinkery, and their hard work can be found in every experience here at the Thinkery.
Since October 1st we have had:
- Group volunteers from corporations and organizations contributing over 1,479 hours of service
- Over 70 individual community members have contributed over 1,271 hours of service
These numbers are absolutely incredible! We believe in our volunteers, their ideas and impact. Our volunteers allow us to deliver the quality and quantity of programs needed to serve Central Texas. To all who have served the Thinkery community in any way, thanks for your tremendous work.
