As a nonprofit organization, the success of Thinkery relies on the generous support of individuals, businesses and people like you.
You can support Thinkery by:
- Supporting our Open Door Initiative, which makes Thinkery more accessible by providing free admission and camp scholarships for families in need, and significantly reduced admission fees for low-income schools that visit on field trips
- Making a business gift
- Sponsoring a special event such as IMAGINARIUM
- Becoming a Thinkery Member or giving a gift membership
- Becoming a volunteer
Open the door to Thinkery at the Meredith Learning Lab for children who wouldn’t otherwise have the chance to explore Austin’s newest home for “how” and “why.” Your gift as an Open Door Society Member provides outstanding programming and a place where science smiles for Austin’s growing number of families in need. According to the most recent census data, almost 20 percent of Austinites live below poverty level. This is greater than the Texas average and almost 5 percent greater than the national average.
Thinkery changes the way families in Austin learn and play. Each visit yields new unique personal insights and cherished memories for more than 450,000 visitors each year. This year alone, Thinkery is committed to fundraising almost one million dollars to ensure this extraordinary experience is accessible to our entire community through our Open Door Initiative.
As a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. For information on how you can make a tax deductible gift to Thinkery, please contact Leah Thornton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thinkery is funded through a combination of philanthropic gifts and earned income. Additionally, the museum is funded and supported in part by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts and by the City of Austin through the Economic Development Department/Cultural Arts Division believing an investment in the Arts is an investment in Austin’s future.
