Early Learners Coordinator

The Early Learners Coordinator promotes the museum’s mission and core values by supporting, implementing, and role-modeling fun, innovative learning experiences for Early Learners audiences (0-5 years). This position supports and maintains a professional, collaborative and friendly culture by serving as a liaison to the community through several bilingual (Spanish-English) programs and initiatives. The Early Learners Coordinator assists in delivering fun, educational experiences for Early Learners, their families and professionals in the field through best practices.  This position is a one-year grant funded position that begins May 2019 and runs through April 2020, with the possibility of extensions based on continued grant funding.

 

Store Manager and Buyer

Thinkery’s Store Manager and Buyer creates an environment that activates the customer’s desire to select our products and increase customer loyalty, while supporting our vision of joyful learning for the next generation of creative problem solvers. This position is fully accountable for the success of the store, driving sales and profitability while directing all aspects of store operations.  She/he will have a working knowledge of sales, merchandising, ordering, staff training and marketing as well as strong people-skills.

The Teen Programs Assistant provides support for the overall success of Thinkery Teen programs, that provide teens with meaningful volunteer experience and career training in a safe and supportive environment

Seasonal Positions

 

Camp Lead Educator

As a Camp Lead Educator, you will share your enthusiasm and passion for STEAM while activating Thinkery's curriculum. Be responsible for implementing Thinkery curriculum by setting up and facilitating inquiry-based activities and design challenges. All with the goal of supporting campers as they expand their problem-solving potential, learn new technologies, and unleash their creativity. Lead Educators are also the manager of a group of campers and leader of a team of educators and teen counselors-in-training (CITs). Facilitate alongside your team to help campers ask big questions and think outside the box.

 

Direct Service Staff

Direct Service Staff members ensure every Thinkery visitor has a meaningful, relevant, high quality, fun and educational experience by providing exemplary customer service. They hold a significant responsibility to enrich the visitor experience by administering a creative, positive atmosphere that fosters the joy of learning. Direct Service Staff activate gallery and program spaces within and outside of the museum to deliver our mission directly to visitors.  This is a seasonal position starting in mid-May and lasting through late August.

 

STEAM Educator

STEAM Educators deliver the museum’s mission through direct and playful interaction with visitors that inspires a joy of learning. These employees deliver educational experiences designed to inspire an interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) through a variety of gallery activations and programs within and outside of the museum.  This is a seasonal position starting in mid-May and lasting through late August

Looking for a great opportunity to build your skills and share your talent and enthusiasm? Thinkery interns help build a creative and collaborative community that celebrates curiosity and discovery.
