Thinkery Camp is where learning happens through play, and kids have a whole lot of fun doing it! Whether it’s by using REAL TOOLS, engaging in HANDS-ON TECHNOLOGY, or getting our hands dirty with MESSY MAKING, we’re on a mission to Keep Austin Playful.

Baby Bloomers

Theme: Weather Wonders
Baby Bloomers is a special program during which the museum is open exclusively for visitors ages 0–3 years and their families.

Artist in Residence
Thinkery’s Artist in Residence (AIR) program aims to bring local, interactive art into our museum at the Meredith Learning Lab.
C.R.E.A.T.E
C.R.E.A.T.E. (Collaboration to Realize Equity and Teach Engineering) is a partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of the Austin Area and NI designed to inspire and prepare a diverse pipeline of future engineers.
Special Events
WYAT – Whereabouts Community Event
Tuesday, April 15
3 PM – 6 PM (During Community Hours)
Join us for a special edition of Community Hours in collaboration with Where Y’all at Though, where music, movement, and STEAM come together for an evening of hands-on exploration. Families can engage in interactive stations that connect rhythm, math, and creativity, followed by an exciting dance party experience.
Día de los Niños

Join us at Thinkery for our Día de los Niños event, which celebrates childhood, community, and curiosity with hands-on STEAM activities for the whole family.
Thinkery Prom: Cosmic Rodeo
Thursday, May 1
7 PM – 9 PM
Get ready to blast off into a space-western adventure at Thinkery’s adult prom! Dust off your boots (or space suit), hit the dance floor to a live DJ, and enjoy a dazzling drag performance that’s truly out of this world. Plus, sip on themed cocktails and explore Thinkery in a whole new way—after hours, just for grown-ups. (This event is 21+)
Member & Donor Appreciation Day

8 AM – 12 PM
Join us for a special appreciation event just for Thinkery members and donors! Guests will enjoy private access to the museum, as well as breakfast tacos, coffee, special maker activities, and a spin of Thinkery’s famous prize wheel for a chance to win something special!

Every first Sunday of the month, Thinkery Members get exclusive early access to Thinkery from 8–10 AM—before we open to the public!
