Toddlers take over the museum during Baby Bloomers!
Baby Bloomers is a special program during which the museum is open exclusively for visitors ages 0–3 years and their families.
On Friday and Saturday mornings from 8 – 10 am. Baby Bloomers provides caregivers and early learners the chance to experience Thinkery together in an environment focused solely on them.
The program takes place on the second floor and backyard of the museum and includes two-story times, parachute play, and free play that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of our earliest learners.
Baby Bloomers is a special program that is not included in memberships. Members receive a discounted ticket price. Reserve your tickets in advance to enjoy open-ended explorations and learning through play.

Winter Activations
Explore winter-themed play experiences designed especially for babies and toddlers (ages 0–3) and their caregivers. Each activation encourages bonding, early development, and joyful discovery through play.
Story Nook
Story Time at 8:30 AM & 9:30 AM: Snuggle up for winter-themed songs and stories, then play in snowy scenes as we head out on cozy winter adventures together.
Bloom
Sensory Snow Globes: Shake up a sensory snow globe and watch the flurries fall! Talk with your little one about what you see to encourage vocabulary and language growth.
Currents
Great Glacier Rescue: Arctic animals are frozen in ice — can you help rescue them? Explore sensory play as your child feels the cold temperature and different textures.
Polar Bear Party: Pretend you’re at the North Pole and catch a polar bear floating during this playful movement activity. (Encourages sensory exploration, imagination, and cause-and-effect learning.
Forts Adventure
Snowball TossToss and catch soft indoor snowballs together while building gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Let’s Grow
Sensory Snow: Scoop, squeeze, and explore pretend snow. Experiencing different textures supports fine motor development and builds descriptive language.
Snowball Station: Use snow molds with kinetic sand to create shapes and designs. Sensory play can be calming and supports mindfulness and social-emotional growth.
Pretend Play Café: Order hot cocoa or drizzle peppermint into a pretend mocha while your baby plays barista! Dramatic play supports language development and strengthens social bonds.
Penguin Pairs: Help penguins find their matching partners by pairing shapes and colors.
Snow People Party: Build a snow person together and swap out facial features to show different emotions. Talking about feelings helps build emotional awareness and prosocial skills.
Our Backyard
Penguins on Parade: Waddle, chase, and imagine as penguins bob through the water. Stretch your imagination and enjoy open-ended movement play outdoors.
