We love to celebrate our volunteers, volunteens and interns year round, but this week is particularly special as we celebrate National Volunteer Week at the Thinkery! National Volunteer Week is a celebration about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. It’s about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals. In honor of National Volunteer Week we want to take a moment to say thank you to ALL of our volunteers. This week on the blog, we’ll be highlighting some of the great folks volunteering their time to the Thinkery.
Each week volunteers help out with our Early Learner’s program called Baby Bloomers. Today we want to say a special thanks to Helen who has contributed almost 70 hours of service to this program. What a gem! And even though the amount of service is impressive, her attitude and skills are even more impressive.
“Helen has been a wonderful addition to our Baby Bloomers team! She helps us every Saturday and Monday by facilitating STEAM activities, engaging with early learners and their parents to ensure they have an amazing experience, and by being flexible and willing to assist with anything she can do to add value to the Baby Bloomers program. Every week she shows up with a huge smile, comes prepared to get her hands dirty (literally), and always has an amazing enthusiasm for facilitating activities. We truly love having her, and appreciate all of the hard work she does every week to add value to the Baby Bloomers program!” – Heather, Early Learners Coordinator
Thanks Helen for your tremendous service to the Thinkery, and thanks to all our volunteers! Happy National Volunteer Week!
