Baby Bloomers
For ages 0-36 months
Toddlers take over the museum during Baby Bloomers!
Baby Bloomers is a special program during which the museum is open exclusively for visitors ages 0–3 years and their families.
On Friday and Saturday mornings from 8 – 10 am. Baby Bloomers provides caregivers and early learners the chance to experience Thinkery together in an environment focused solely on them.
The program takes place on the second floor and backyard of the museum and includes two-story times, parachute play, and free play that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of our earliest learners.
Baby Bloomers is a special program that is not included in memberships. Members receive a discounted ticket price. Reserve your tickets in advance to enjoy open-ended explorations and learning through play.

Sensory Sensations!
Our world is vibrant! Exploring your senses helps your little one describe and categorize what they see, supporting language development and STEAM learning!
Story Nook: Join us for Story Time at 8:30 am and 9:30 am for songs and stories about colors and our senses! Observe how sunlight shines through transparent colors! What patterns and designs will you and your child make together?
Currents: Melting colors! Observe what happens when frozen colors mix as they melt! Use your sense of touch to feel the cold. Experiment as you and your little one melt ice with warm water. Develop vocabulary as you compare and contrast! Engage fine motor skills while pouring water. Listen to the sounds of the water as it interacts with different objects.
Sensory Tile Walkway: Sensory Movement! Listen to music, see and touch colorful texture tiles. Bond with your little one and challenge their gross motor skills by jumping, rocking, and moving to the music! Dancing together encourages pro-social skills.
Let’s Grow: Shadow Play! Experiment with light & color using a glowing light table to create vibrant designs and dance in the colorful light show! Sort objects of different shapes and colors and increase understanding of patterns and relationships.
Bloom: Encourage your child to use their senses to investigate different scents and textures. Use fine motor skills to manipulate sensory bottles and watch as the colors move in new ways. Watch your little ones crawl through rainbow pop up tunnels and observe the changes in light as they pass through each color!
Magnet Wall: Creative Contrast! High contrast patterns and bright colors provide visual and cognitive stimulation as early learners focus on what they see. Move the shapes and patterns to challenge your little one’s visual ability.
Our Backyard: Floating Fun! Chase bright colors as they float through our outdoor springs!
