Due to the ongoing winter storms and related utility outages throughout Central Texas, Thinkery has postponed its reopening until Friday, February 26.
“So many families are still without power or water, including some of our own staff,” said Thinkery CEO Andy Bell. “We want to do what we can to conserve vital resources and to support people in our community who are struggling to get through this winter storm.”
Thinkery will begin its new weekend schedule of limited-capacity General Admission sessions on Friday, February 26 at 9 am. Tickets for all weekend sessions are now available to both Members and the general public.
The Member “thank you” day that was originally planned for Friday, February 19 will be rescheduled for a later date.
In the meantime, Thinkery will be using its social media channels to share important information and links to resources for those struggling with storm-related issues, as well as opportunities for those in a position to help their fellow Texans to do so.
“We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the museum,” said Bell. “But for these crucial next few days, we want encourage everyone to stay safe, stay warm, and do what we can to help the community through this.”
