Life & Letters is the official magazine of UT’s College of Liberal Arts; it recently published an article titled “Three Ways Kids Can Learn Through Play At Home,” which included a number of activities you may recognize from Thinkery At Home!
The article quotes UT Austin developmental psychologist Cristine Legare, who advises “[s]ocial interaction is essential for learning and for general psychological well-being. Like adults, children need social connection with others.” Legare says that doing simple, fun activities with kids at home can help families connect while enjoying enriching learning experiences and revealing new interests. We are very proud to be part of this ongoing research and study of how parents and caregivers can most effectively promote STEAM learning!
