These rotating STEAM pop-ups will allow children a new Thinkery experience during each visit. Get ready to explore hands-on learning in a whole new way! General Admission ticket must be purchased to participate.

Pop-Up Activities: Light & Color 

• Hidden Hues: Unleash the secret artist in you! Discover how colors are made by separating pigments using water. Draw on coffee filters, add a splash of water, and watch the hidden colors from your markers come alive. This mesmerizing exploration of chromatography shows the magic of color blending in action! 
  
• Glowing Scribble Machines: Get ready to light up your creativity! Build your own motor-powered scribble bot using simple materials. Watch as your glowing bot buzzes across glow-reactive film, creating dazzling patterns. This hands-on activity combines engineering, art, and light for a brilliant experience you won’t forget! 
  
• Sort by Color: Bring your sorting skills to life! Using tweezers, sort colorful objects while exploring color recognition and developing fine motor skills. This sensory-rich activity is perfect for younger learners who love hands-on fun. Sorting has never been this colorful and exciting! 
  
• Light & Shadow: Step into the world of light and imagination! Experiment with single and multiple light sources, translucent materials, and 3D objects to create mesmerizing shadow displays. Work solo or team up to construct kinetic light and shadow vignettes, culminating in a collaborative art installation that transforms light into a masterpiece!
