Baby Bloomers
For ages 0-36 months
Toddlers take over the museum during Baby Bloomers!
Baby Bloomers is a special program during which the museum is open exclusively for visitors ages 0–3 years and their families.
On Friday and Saturday mornings from 8 – 10 am. Baby Bloomers provides caregivers and early learners the chance to experience Thinkery together in an environment focused solely on them.
The program takes place on the second floor and backyard of the museum and includes two-story times, parachute play, and free play that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of our earliest learners.
Baby Bloomers is a special program that is not included in memberships. Members receive a discounted ticket price. Reserve your tickets in advance to enjoy open-ended explorations and learning through play.

Arctic Adventures!
Explore the sights and sounds of wintry wonders with your little one! Dig in sensory bins of snow and ice, chase bobbing polar bears at the North Pole, frolic with floating penguins in the South, and develop hand-eye coordination with a playful snowball toss!
Currents:
Great Glaciers! Arctic animals are frozen in ice! Can you and your little one rescue them? Engage in sensory play as you feel the cold temperature of the ice.
Polar Bear Party! Pretend you’re at the North Pole and catch a polar bear floating by.
Story Nook: Join us for Story Time at 8:30 am & 9:30 am for winter-themed songs & stories!
Cozy Beverage Café: Engage in dramatic play with your little one! Drizzle peppermint on a pretend mocha, or order hot cocoa from a baby barista! Dramatic play is an excellent tool for language development and can strengthen the bond between you & your child!
Let’s Grow:
Sensory snow! Scoop and squeeze pretend snow! Feeling different textures like sloshy snow encourages fine motor development and offers the opportunity to build vocabulary together!
Snowball Station! Use snow molds to create shapes with kinetic sand! Sand provides sensory stimulation and the calming effect supports mindfulness and social emotional development.
Let’s Grow – Magnet Wall:
Penguin Pairs: Help the penguins find their partners by matching shapes and colors!
Snow People Party: Build a snow person together with your little one. Change the nose, mouth, and eyes to show different emotions. Chatting with your little one about their feelings builds mindfulness and prosocial skills!
Upstairs Forts:
SNOWBALL TOSS! Bond with your little one while challenging gross motor skills and hand-eye by tossing and catching indoor snowballs.
Bloom:
Shake up a sensory snow globe and watch the flurries fall! Encourage vocabulary development and language skills by describing what you see!
