Dedicated to growing impact in early learner and STEAM education for ALL Central Texas children, Thinkery celebrates major museum refresh with the Central Texas community.
May 26, 2022 – Austin, TX – Thinkery, the philanthropic play-based STEAM learning hub of Central Texas, today announced its new exhibit, Notion of Motion, an interactive gallery inspired by the scientific wonders of Newton, Galileo, and the brilliant minds of pioneers in STEAM.
“We are dedicated to growing impact in early learner and STEAM education through dynamic experiences and innovative, research-based, state-of-the-art STEAM exhibits,” said Andy Bell, CEO, of Thinkery. “We enthusiastically encourage the Central Texas community to visit us – come see Notion of Motion in action and witness Central Texas children cultivate a lifelong passion for learning and discovery.”
Launched via a sneak preview event on May 26, Thinkery is thrilled to celebrate the major museum refresh – it’s first since the beginning of the pandemic – and invites the entire Central Texas community to come experience the swaying pendulums, spinning discs, dancing rope, musical wheels and hands-on STEAM experiments designed for
children of all ages. Notion of Motion is made possible by our generous lead exhibit sponsors MillaporeSigma, PPG, Stepping Stone School, Theodore P. Davis Charitable Trust, Seawell Elam Foundation, Lisa Henkin Ramirez, and Randy Ramirez and Riki Rushing and Allen Gilmer.
“For the last four years, we’ve partnered with Thinkery to bring high quality interactive exhibits to the children and families of Central Texas. It’s for this reason that we are proud to sponsor the Notion in Motion exhibit,” said Rhonda Paver, CEO, and Founder of Stepping Stone School. “Our sponsorship aligns perfectly with Stepping Stone School’s
mission to educate the whole child through the use of STREAM (Science, Technology, Relationships, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) principles which are infused into our curriculum for children of all age groups.”
The exhibit will officially open to the public on Saturday, May 28, as Thinkery rolls out its expanded summer hours. Thinkery will be open for General Admission visits seven days a week through the end of the summer.
