This year marks our 40th birthday and 10th year in our Meredith Learning Lab (also known as “the big red box”) in Mueller. Our 40 years have been amazing. It’s been a time of reflection and growth for us at Thinkery, and we’re excited to share that we have a bigger and brighter future in mind. We continue to grow and evolve as we keep creating new opportunities to put the joy in learning so children thrive.
Team Thinkery has been moving full STEAM ahead with strategically planning what our next 40 years will look like.
This includes updating our mission, vision, and values which serve as the foundational pillars of who Thinkery is and the world that we are striving to create. Additionally, we have developed new strategic priorities that will serve as a lighthouse for Thinkery over the next 3 – 5 years, setting us on a trajectory to increase our impact in Central Texas and beyond.
Vision: All children cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
Mission: Lead the future of play-based STEAM learning experiences that inspire and equip all children to be confident, creative thinkers.
Values: Playfulness, belonging, innovation, and collaboration
We are bringing joyful learning to Del Valle.
It’s hard to believe that in about 18 months the area pictured below will transform into an outdoor play and learning space that will house Thinkery exhibits in Del Valle ISD (DVISD) that promote joyful learning for young learners and their caregivers. The DVISD Child Development Center, which will house these spaces, will also serve as a STEAM Learning Institute site where DVISD educators will receive professional development and Thinkery instructional coaches will help inform the learning approach of the preschool on campus.
For more information on how you can support this project, please contact Thinkery Chief Campaign Officer, Shaleiah Fox, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The community’s generosity is what makes these exciting next steps for Thinkery possible. We are appreciative of the continuous support as we keep expanding our doors and creating joyful learning opportunities possible for more children and families across Central Texas.
