The beginning of Dana Domingue’s, Thinkery’s Vice President of Culture and Community, journey began before Thinkery’s big red box doors opened in 2013.
Over the last ten years, Dana has made a large impact on the organization, community, and the Thinkery Team. It’s a bittersweet moment as Dana leaves our team to enjoy a new and exciting chapter of her life.
Dana is a community relationship enthusiast who has spent the past two decades building the capacity of nonprofits to meaningfully engage with community members. With diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at the heart of her work, Dana’s role at Thinkery quickly evolved from Volunteer Resources to Community Engagement.
As Thinkery enters its 40th year of joyful learning and 10th year at Mueller, Dana recalls the planning and opening of the Thinkery building 10 years ago. “We were building all these programs and new partnerships and in this kind of dreamy, creative collaborative space where we were just making so many new things. I feel like Thinkery’s in that place again, in this place of collaboration, innovation, and possibility, but with a renewed and deeper focus on belonging.”
After a decade of dedication to expanding Thinkery’s efforts in inclusivity, belonging, and community engagement, Dana’s work lives on at Thinkery, “Institutionalizing our focus on inclusion and for it to be embedded in our strategic priorities and so strongly centered in our core values is definitely the thing I’m most proud of, both in terms of the belonging work, but also being centered on community voice and what it means to truly be in community.”
This is not the end of Thinkery and Dana though, we are proud to say that she will always have a second family here at Thinkery.
“I’m excited to be the world’s greatest cheerleader over the next couple of years as I cheer you guys on from the sidelines with all the amazing efforts that Thinkery is making to make meaningful impacts for families in Central Texas.” – Dana Domingue
Thank you Dana for ALL that you are and continue to be to Thinkery!
