All of us at Thinkery look forward to the opportunity to safely welcome children and their families back to the museum. However, the health and safety of our staff, guests, and the entire Central Texas community remains our foremost concern.
Governor Abbott’s latest executive order allows many museums and libraries to open at reduced capacity; however, due to the order’s restriction on museums and libraries opening interactive experiences and child play areas, Thinkery is unable to reopen at this time. We will continue to monitor guidance from state and local public health officials to determine when and under what conditions Thinkery will reopen.
In the interim, our team is working to be prepared to implement necessary health and safety protocols so that, when we do open in any capacity, we do so in a way that keeps our Thinkery visitors and staff as safe as possible.
Throughout all of this, Thinkery will continue to uplift and support our community any way we can. We remain dedicated to our mission of inspiring the next generation of creative problem solvers and bringing unique, STEAM-based learning opportunities to families throughout Central Texas. Our educators continue working hard to create fun, original STEAM learning content available for free through our online Thinkery At Home program.
