Currents
Watery science you can see,
feel and hear.
Visitors get wet exploring concepts of fluid dynamics and discovering the connections between water and sound. This gallery features several hands-on activity stations to engage visitors in open-ended aquatic investigations.
Note: Currents can be a really wet exhibit! While we provide smocks, Crocs and hand dryers in this exhibit, visitors are also encouraged to bring extra clothes or towels.

Things to know and what to try:
- Explore together and find out which objects float and which objects sink.
- Try asking, “what do you notice when water forms a wave?
- Try explaining, “falling water can make things move!”
