Farmers’ Market
We’ve given a classic museum favorite a fun, Austin-inspired twist! In our Farmers’ Market, kids can collect eggs from the chicken coop, sort and weigh fresh veggies, and bring it all to the kitchen to cook up their own recipe card creations. It’s imaginative play that sparks curiosity about food, farming, and fun.
Things to know and what to try:
- Cooking challenge: Have your little thinker pick out a recipe card and gather all the fixings at the famers market!
- Spend some time at the produce cart and sort the fruits and veggies by color.
- Explore the concept of measuring weight, by seeing what food weighs more at the scales.
