Light Lab
Explore the magic of light at Light Lab! Interact with light in creative ways—mix colors to create new ones, freeze your shadow, or even paint glowing art with light sticks.
Originally a temporary exhibit, Light Lab became a fan favorite. When it was uninstalled, guests spoke up and we listened. Now, it’s a permanent part of Thinkery, thanks to the love and excitement of our community.
Things to know and what to try:
- Use your cell phone flashlight at Frozen Shadows to sketch with light! The photoreactive surface of the wall will hold your design until it fades or you “erase” it with light.
- The Kaleidoscope Towers react to sound! What happens if you clap or sing or play a song?
- Building with Light has touch sensors on each axis. Can you build a design and turn each piece a different color?
