Here’s All the Fun Your Family Will Enjoy This New Year’s Eve

Enjoy two full hours of hands-on play and special New Year’s Eve experiences throughout the museum!

Balloon Drop & Bubble Wrap Stomp: Each session includes a joyful countdown and multiple celebratory balloon drops, with hundreds of balloons filling the space. After the drops, stomp, dance, and pop your way into the new year on our bubble wrap dance floor.

Balloon drops take place in three age-friendly locations: Innovators, Group Entry, and Let’s Grow for our Baby & Crawler Scarf Drop.

Baby & Crawler Scarf Drop: A gentle, sensory-friendly celebration with floating scarves, bubbles, and soft play that is perfect for our tiniest guests. (0 –3 years old)

Sparkle Lab Disco: We’re transforming our Light Lab gallery into a mini-NYE disco! Dance, glow, and celebrate another trip around the sun.

2026 DIY Wearables: Craft your own shiny, festive accessories to sparkle into the new year!

Firework Art Studio: Make your own “firework” masterpieces using playful tools and colorful bursts of creativity.

Community Timeline: Add your family’s milestones to our collaborative community art piece to celebrate your year, your way.

Refund & Exchange Policy

New Year’s Eve tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. In the event of an emergency closing by the Museum, the ticket purchaser will have the option of an exchange or refund.

Event FAQ’s

Do adults need their own tickets to attend?
Yes. All guests, including adults, children, and infants, need a ticket to attend the New Year’s Eve Celebration.

What time should we arrive for our session?
There are two New Year’s Eve sessions; please double-check your ticket to ensure you’re attending the correct one. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early, as a line may form during check-in. For the quickest entry, have your tickets ready on your phone when you check in.

Are balloon drops happening in multiple spaces, and how do we know which one is right for our child?
Yes! Each session features three age-friendly balloon drops happening throughout the museum. Families can choose the drop that best fits their child’s developmental stage once they arrive.

Is the event appropriate for babies and toddlers?
Absolutely. We offer a gentle, sensory-friendly Scarf Drop in Story Nook just for babies and crawlers, along with bubbles and soft play elements. Toddlers can also enjoy the Let’s Grow balloon drop designed specifically for early walkers.

Are food and drink allowed inside the museum during the event?
Food is not allowed inside the museum, except for water and formula.

Can we explore the whole museum during our two-hour session?
Yes! Your ticket includes full access to the museum during your session, along with all New Year’s Eve activities and spaces.
