Gingerbread Workshop tickets and Take Home Gingerbread People Decorating Kits are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. In the event of an emergency closing by the Museum, the ticket purchaser will have the option of an exchange or refund. 

What should I know if someone in my family has food allergies? 
We want every family to have a safe and joyful experience. Please note that our workshops include ingredients that may contain or have come into contact with gluten, nuts, dairy, eggs, and other common food allergens, and we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Families with sensitivities should consider this before participating. 

Can I purchase an H-E-B Texan Gingerbread Ranch Kit directly from Thinkery to build at home?  
The H-E-B Texan Gingerbread Ranch kit is exclusively available at Thinkery as part of the workshop experience. Thinkery offers Take Home Decorating Kits, freshly baked by Lady Quackenbush’s Cakery.  Take-home kits will be available online for pre-order, with a limited number available for onsite purchase at the Admissions desk at Thinkery – Meredith Learning Lab in Mueller.  
To buy the H-E-B Texan Gingerbread Ranch kit separately, please visit your local H-E-B store. 

Do I need to purchase tickets ahead of time?  
Our workshops tend to sell out quickly, so we encourage purchasing tickets ahead of time. All tickets are available online on a first-come, first-served basis. 

What ages are the Gingerbread Workshops best for? 
Gingerbread Workshops are designed for all ages but are best suited for children ages 2+. Children under the age of 1 may attend the workshop for free.  

What is included in the workshop? Each Gingerbread Workshop Bundle includes: 

• One (1) H-E-B Texan Gingerbread Ranch kit with all the fixin’s to build and decorate (please note that this kit may have come into contact with nuts and contain gluten)  
• Two (2) participant spots (ages 1 +) for an educator-led, 60-minute session with a take-home sweet treat 
• Access to our Candy Bar Buffet loaded with frosting, candy, and sprinkles 
• All materials, tools, and cleanup — you bring the creativity, we’ll handle the mess! 

What if I want to play in the museum after or before the workshop? 
General Admission tickets are NOT included or required to participate in this workshop. You can purchase General Admission tickets online, at the front of house, or after the workshop at the reservations desk.

Where to Park: 

• Parking is available at the McBee Street District Garage, with entrances off McBee Street and Robert Browning Street. Thinkery provides up to three hours of free parking in the McBee Street District Garage during General Admission hours.  
• A QR code for the discount will be available at the workshop.  
• Pay-by-phone, credit- and coin-operated metered street parking is also available around Mueller Lake Park. Please note, parking in the lot next to Mueller Lake Park or in the AMLI at Mueller parking garage may result in towing. 

How to Locate the Workshop: 
When you arrive, follow the signs to our special Gingerbread Workshop entrance that leads directly to the program rooms (located on the side street between Thinkery and the AMLI apartments). Greeters and signage will be nearby to help guide you to the fun. If stairs aren’t the best option for your family, please enter through the main entrance and let our Admissions Team know you’re here for a Gingerbread Workshop. They’ll be happy to assist you — just have your receipt ready. 

What’s included? 
Each Take Home Gingerbread People Decorating Kit comes with everything your family needs for a cozy, creative holiday moment at home. Inside, you’ll find four freshly baked gingerbread people from Lady Quackenbush’s Cakery (two grown-ups and two littles), colorful icing, festive sprinkles, mini M&Ms, and simple instructions to spark joyful learning and candy-coated creativity. 

Can I purchase my kit in person?  
We highly recommend reserving your kit online. Quantities are limited, and these sweet take-home kits often sell out. We will have a very small number available on-site, but they are first-come, first-served.   

Where can I pick up my kit?  
When you place your order, you will choose your preferred pick-up weekend at Thinkery. To keep your kit fresh and ready for decorating, we recommend picking it up during your selected window. We will hold your kit for 7 days after your pickup date. After that time, unclaimed kits will be disposed of to maintain quality.  

Where do I pick up my kit?  
Kits can be picked up at the Admissions Desk inside Thinkery’s Mueller location. Simply enter through the main entrance, and our team will be able to support.
