Currents
Currents is where water meets music—inviting kids to explore sound, rhythm, and splash through hands-on instruments and playful tools. Overhead “drip beats” create rhythmic droplets in sync with musical patterns, turning water into a dynamic soundscape. It’s a favorite for kids (and a heads-up for grown-ups—you will get wet!).
Things to know and what to try:
- Push the buttons connected to the buckets in the middle of the gallery. When the bucket it full it will pour out (and probably splash you and your friends!)
- Arrange the drums under Drip Beats to make a rhythm with dripping water.
- Sit back and relax! Water play is a great self-guided activity for littles. This is a great gallery space to step back and watch your little one explore. Water play has the capacity to be sensory stimulating or a soothing experience, so let your little explore based on what they need today.
